Concert of the United States Army Europe Band
A report by “Spectator”. Pictures by Hannes Hochmuth-Press Photographer
On March 4, 2015, we received an invitation to an exceptional concert in the Museum of Military History. As tickets were very limited, only our Chairman, Colonel (Retd.) Adolf H. Neidhart, our President, Senator H. C. Wolfgang Steinhardt, and Board Member, press photographer Chev. Hannes Hochmuth, could enjoy this wonderful concert.
The United States Army Europe Band and Chorus (USAREUR Band & Chorus) is the largest military band outside the US and it was also the first time (as the Director of the Museum, Councillor Dr. Christian M. Ortner, explained) that an American Military Band had played at the Museum of Military History.
Even the very charming and attractive American Ambassador to Austria, Her Excellency Alexa Wesner, graced this concert with her presence!

Under their Director, Lieutenant Colonel Bruce Pulver, the Band presented an extensive and diverse program to the public. Currently on their spring tour through Europe, the Band’s repertoire includes not only traditional American brass band music, but also Jazz, Dixieland, Swing, Rock and Roll and Pop music.
The band is stationed in Sembach, Germany, and consists of about 100 servicemen and women in nine different ensembles.
A “Standing Ovation” applauded this excellent orchestra for encore after encore.
